MSc Human Resource Management

ADMISSION REQUIREMENT

Direct Entry

A candidate must satisfy any of the following minimum requirements:

                  Either

Be a holder of at least second class upper in Bachelor of Science Degree in the related programme

                    Or

Be holder of post graduate diploma in Business related course

Or

Be a holder of any other relevant qualification recognized by University senate

Or

Be a holder of a bachelor degree of lower second class honours in a relevant discipline provided the candidate can show proven evidence of research ability or three (3) years relevant experience in relevant field.

Possession of the Minimum requirements does not guarantee automatic admission to the programme.

ACADEMIC DURATION

The Masters programmes shall take a minimum of two academic years. The total lecture hours shall be 765 hours including thesis writing.

 

 

ACADEMIC CALENDER

The Master’s degree shall comprise of four semesters in two academic years that will be two semesters course work then followed by research thesis that will be undertaken during third and fourth semesters.

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS

The awarding of the Master’s Degree shall be subject to the candidate fulfilling all the University Regulations.

To be considered for the award of Master Degree a candidate must have taken and passed in all units including research thesis.

CLASSIFICATION OF THE DEGREE

  1. A candidate who qualifies for the award of the Master Degree shall be awarded the degree after passing a minimum of 10 units required.
  2. The final classification shall be based on the minimum number of required units taken during the period of study.
  3. The Master Degree classification shall be graded as follows:

               50% and above                Pass

               Below 50%                      Fail
