Message from the COD-Human Resource Management

Human Resource Management Department is housed in the school of Business and Economics. The Department offers various competitive academic programmers. These programmes range from Diploma, Bachelors, Masters up to Doctoral level. Our core values include innovation, entrepreneurship, teamwork, integrity, national cohesion, Justice, Equity, and Professionalism among many more.

The Department of Human Resource Management has very dedicated and competent members of staff who are dutiful and value academic excellence as they diligently perform their duties. Thus our graduates are well prepared and empowered with relevant skills, competencies, attitudes and values that are required in the present Job-market.

Those who graduate do have a relatively short waiting time before they make a decent living by either getting employed or self-employment.

Departmental Objectives

They include the following;

To enhance learning and students preparedness for semester examinations by covering the course content by the 10^th week of the Semester.
To improve student commitment to learning by engaging the University Counsellor/Career Coordinator to organize motivational talks at least once a year.
To increase Student Capacity in the Department in reviewing/Developing at least one programme per academic year.
To enhance vigilance during examinations to reduce cases of cheating by changing the number of invigilators from the current two (2) per room to a minimum of two for forty (40) students and below and an extra invigilator for every extra forty (40) students.
To enhance learning by organizing one (1) relevant trip academic field trip for the students per programme cycle
